Security cameras

I’ve been in search of the best solar camera for the money that is also subscription-free ever since my home was broken into. That camera for me has been the Aosu Solar Camera, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an easy set-up, subscription-free, reliable solar camera with a 360-degree view. You can get it for $55.99 (originally $79.99), an impressive value for the money.

The video doorbell I chose to go with for my front door is the Reolink Video Doorbell. It’s also subscription-free, and you can choose between the wifi version or the wired one. Right now, you can get one of the best video doorbells of 2025 for $76.99 (originally $109.99).

Smart lock

When it comes to smart locks, I’ve tried them all for my home and Airbnb. I cannot recommend the SwitchBot Lock Pro enough, as you can read from my review. It’s reliable, simple, and comes with many useful features. It’s also extremely renter-friendly, so you can install it easily with minimal work. Don’t let the discount fool you—this is over 50% off since the bundle is usually $199.99, but you can get it for just $89.99.

Smart thermostat

For my home, I also use the Google Nest Thermostat. It’s surprising how much a nice-looking thermostat can increase the aesthetic of your home. You can control your HVAC remotely with the Google app, set routines, and save on the energy bill for just $89.99 (originally $129.99).

Streaming stick

Another great Google product I recommend is the Google TV Streamer 4K, currently just $84 (originally $99.99). I’ve been using it since the first generation came out. I love it because it lets me easily cast my phone to any TV or projector (Android or iOS alike). This specific model is compatible with 4K resolution.

If you’re looking for the Roku equivalent, the Roku Ultra for $69 (originally $99.99) is your best bet and is also discounted right now.

Tablet

If you’re looking for a budget tablet under $100, do not consider any tablet other than the Amazon Fire HD 10 tablet, currently just $69.99 (originally $139.99). Any other tablet is likely to be a bust, but the Fire HD 10 has been a solid budget option since its 2023 release.

Speaker

I’m surprised to see the 2nd-generation Bose SoundLink Flex going for $99 (originally $149). This outdoor speaker has been a classic and top-performing portable option since its release in 2024. Take advantage of it.

Earphones

The cheapest AirPods without active noise cancelation (ANC) are just $89 (originally $129) after a record low price. These are the 4th generation with the H2 chip and a 30-hour battery. You can also get the ANC version for a record-low price.

If you prefer on-ear headphones, the Beats Solo 4 are just $97.99 (originally $199.95), a record low price. These headphones are the 4th generation of the Beats Solo series and have improvements on sound quality, voice-calling performance, feature set, and battery life, according to CNET’s review.

Tracker

Never lose a purse or luggage again. If you’re an Apple user and don’t have any AirTags yet, this is the best time to pull the trigger, with a 4-pack currently going for $64.99 (originally $99).

Looking for something else? Retailers like Walmart, Best Buy, and Home Depot have Prime Day competition sales that are especially useful if you don’t have Amazon Prime.

Walmart’s Prime Day competition sale begins at midnight on July 8 and will include deals up to 50% off. It’s an especially good option if you have Walmart+.

Best Buy’s Prime Day competition sale, “Black Friday in July,” runs through Sunday, July 13 and has some of the best tech sales online. It’s an especially good option if you’re a My Best Buy “Plus” or “Total” member.

Home Depot extended its 4th of July sale through at least July 9, competing with some amazing deals of its own. It’s an especially good option if you’re looking for power tools, appliances, or outdoor equipment.
