DeWalt cordless tools have been known for their quality since the first line was released in 1994—and I have been using their equipment for almost that long. Their batteries have become known for being powerful, and the new 20-volt battery system is lightweight, rapid-charging, and runs for hours in most cases without needing to be recharged. I find that the light weight batteries and the design of their handles make using these tools more comfortable than others, especially if you plan to spend a long time in your home DIY shop. Here are a few good Prime Day deals on DeWalt cordless tools and accessories that can help you build a new DIY tool kit or add to your existing set.

Combo sets

DeWalt’s 20-volt, five-tool combo set is a good deal if you’re building a new DIY tool set because it comes with a variety of tools as well as batteries. It’s on sale for $399, 38% off its regular price. The set comes with a drill, a driver, an oscillating multitool, a 6 ½-inch circular saw, a reciprocating saw, one 20-volt, 2-amp-hour battery, one 20-volt, 4-amp-hour battery, a charger, and a tool bag. This tool comes with a 2-amp-hour battery and charger, so it’s ready to go right out of the box. An orbital sander allows you to put a fine finish on woodworking projects as well as smooth out DIY drywall patches faster than hand sanding alone.

The DeWalt cordless 20-volt angle grinder will help you to finish projects by allowing you to grind off hardware that pokes through the back side of your work, as well as cutting and polishing metal parts. DeWalt makes good quality cordless tools, and their driver tips are a favorite of mine because they tend not to break as often as some other brands, and their magnetic bit extension is convenient for using multiple bit-types in one tool. 

There are two DeWalt bit sets on sale for Prime Day that are worth it if you plan on drilling and driving hardware. The 14-piece magnetic bit set, on sale for $8.82, 61% off its regular price, is a standby shop favorite and comes with two magnetic bit sleeves and 12 tips. The DeWalt 35-piece impact driver bit set comes with a magnetic bit sleeve and a socket adapter for an impact driver as well as a variety of bits and sockets. It’s on sale for $24.99, 41% off its regular price. 

The DeWalt 12-piece reciprocating saw blade set is on sale for $22.99, 59% off its typical price. This set comes with a combination blade, an assortment of five metal blades, and six wood blades, as well as a carrying case. These blades will fit most standard reciprocating saws.

Looking for something else? Retailers like Walmart, Best Buy, and Home Depot have Prime Day competition sales that are especially useful if you don’t have Amazon Prime.

Walmart’s Prime Day competition sale begins at midnight on July 8 and will include deals up to 50% off. It’s an especially good option if you have Walmart+. 

Best Buy’s Prime Day competition sale, “Black Friday in July,” runs through Sunday, July 13 and has some of the best tech sales online. It’s an especially good option if you’re a My Best Buy “Plus” or “Total” member.

Home Depot extended its 4th of July sale through at least July 9, competing with some amazing deals of its own. It’s an especially good option if you’re looking for power tools, appliances, or outdoor equipment.
